are you the cat? b/c in the game of cat and mouse, the cat is the chaser and hence cannot be the scared one. If so, you must be the mouse but the mouse is SUPPOSED to be scared of the cat. So in that case, there's really no need for you feel sorry for yourself b/c any sensible mouse would be scared of a cat. If anything, you should be proud of the fact that you've managed to elude this cat.
I think you need a better analogy. Or perhaps I should stop being such a pedant.
