actually if you both have stared at each other I'm not sure why it's hard. Just go up to them and say hi. "hello, class is ending so we might as well exchange numbers so we can stare at each other some more"
I am a guy, but my identity is somewhat inconsequential. I'm sure I share the same situation as the majority of UW students. Have a girl in the majority of your classes (or boy, in some peoples cases), make a lot of eye contact, semester ends, never see them again.
okay if you're a girl, I almost guarantee a guy would be interested in talking to you if both of you have beeing staring at eachother throughout the semester. It probably means he's interested but he's not sure what you think of him

sigh i feel the exact same way. but i'm a girl, so i'm even less inclined to break the ice, in case the guy isn't interested in talking to me at all.

i'm a girl, but i don't think the guy has been staring at me,but we do have eye contact now and then. i tend to avoid people's gaze, too.
